Chelsea One-Shoulder Gown

I’m on the search for a Mother of the Groom dress. Something simple, yet elegant. The dress looked promising in the photos. I opened the box and the fabric was nothing like in photo. It has a texture like chiffon and looks cheap. Very flimsy, very polyester looking. I never even tried it on. My husband commented that it’s something his mom would wear.

I loved this dress and ordered it in 2 sizes hoping it would fit. It's very well made and the fabric is beautiful and falls just right. I had to return due to I am a petite woman and it did not sit right on me. I would have also had to have alterations at the shoulder. I am 4'11" and weigh about 124 lbs. The size 8 and the 10 did not fit me. Both were too long-waisted and as I mentioned above I would have needed to have the length at the shoulder be taken up. A 6 would have been too tight for me. If I was taller I feel this would surely have been a perfect fit.
