'Tiny Treasures' Diamond Heart Pendant Necklace

This "puffy heart" necklace by Roberto Coin is really eye-catching. The 18k white gold and diamonds really make the heart 'bling'. It's a very nice piece to wear everyday or even for special occasions. My favorite part about this necklace is the ruby embedded behind the heart, the story behind the ruby is outstanding. "According to an ancient Egyptian legend, wearing a ruby near the skin promoted a long, healthy and happy life. Moreover, the ruby was once thought to shine through clothing, to nurture life, to generate energy and even to make water boil. It was also believed to banish evil thoughts and reconcile disputes. Women in ancient times used it to promote fertility, and Burmese warriors inserted genuine rubies beneath their skin to protect them from being wounded in battle." Also, unlike other necklaces (chain) the one that comes with the pendant is more than decent. Btw, I bought this as a present for my girlfriend.

I received this necklace in the mail and was surprised at how tiny it is! I wish there were some better pictures for scale. As the other reviewers said, this necklace is very sparkly, so I am happy with the diamond quality, but it is much smaller than expected. The white gold chain also isn't as shiny as I expected (perhaps no rhodium plating). The chain is 16" and is only adjustable to 18", as it doesn't have an additional loop to adjust to 17". A very nice necklace if you are looking for something small and petite that can be worn at two different lengths. Mine also arrived very tangled despite the nice Roberto Coin box, so watch out and be prepared to untangle.

I purchased this necklace for myself yesterday, May 24th, 2014. I have been wanting a necklace like this to help me create the layering look so popular today. I have admired this necklace and always look at it when I go to Nordstrom so I finally purchased it! It is beautiful, just what I needed to complete my look. I like the option of wearing shorter at 16 inches or longer at 18 inches; the diamonds sparkle nicely and the ruby on the back is so nice too; an extra touch! I also purchased the Boni Levy initial necklace to wear with this piece. I highly recommend the tiny treasures line.
