Recent purchase
Hi, my recent purchase is a gift for my grandsons upcoming birthday :). Every year, I order new swimwear for him and each item wears well and holds up to all he does . Thank you for creating a wonderful product.

Very cute.
Kid loved the octopus shorts. The inner adjustable elastic made sure they didnt fall off. I suspect theyll fit for another year or more.

Time will tell
We love the fabric, feel and overall fit is ok. They are a little long long but thats fine. I was a little disappointed to find that either the description lacked clarity, or I misread it. I assumed the elastic waist would be stitched in and the drawstring actually functional. My child has minor sensory issues and absolutely hates adjustable waist clothing. The buttons were very uncomfortable both sliding the shorts on and off and once on. Because I liked everything else about them and am completely exhausted trying to find options that are comfortable, I took it upon myself to make some moderate adjustments, folding over and tucking the elastic band ends back into the waist and putting a few small stitches in that can be removed as she grows, removing the false drawstring and adding a real one through the waistband. My kiddo seemed much more pleased with the result. Im really hoping they will be comfortable and functional but will be especially disappointed if they arent after paying a decent amount and taking considerable time to alter them. Im sure some people like the adjustable feature but to me, traditional elastic waist bands are more comfortable, practical and easier to appropriately size. I feel it would have been very helpful if there were more detailed photos showing the inside of the waistband. I think we will get good protection and use out of them. I just wish I had a better idea of what I was ordering. It is exhausting trying to keep my particular kid clothed. I spend a lot of mental energy and time funding suitable options and it adds additional frustration buying online and having to return or when what I receive is not what I thought I was getting.

Good fit, poor execution.
Weve bought swim shorts before from UV Skinz, and I much prefer their old design to swim shorts - solid elastic all the way around and no open fly. I bought a size 6 and 8 for my 5 and 7 year old - they are slender and tall. These new designs come with the adjustable band with button inside, which sometimes comes undone. In addition I have to make sure the Velcro doesnt scratch them when Im putting them on. And lastly the front tie comes undone unless I knot it. Id much prefer their old designs that had a solid band and were just pull up. I like that these are a slimmer fit and of course the uv protection, but the other 3 factors leave me wanting better swim shorts.
