Pursuit 9-Inch Lined Shorts

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband is 55, in incredible shape, and extremely picky about workout shorts — especially lined ones. He’s held onto the same old pairs for years because everything new felt either too tight in the liner or just cut wrong. We finally decided to try the 9” lined shorts from Rhône, and they’ve completely changed his mind. The liner is supportive without feeling restrictive (which has been the biggest issue for him), and the 9-inch length has a modern, athletic cut that’s surprisingly hard to find. They work just as well for lifting as they do for running and conditioning workouts — no riding up, no awkward pulling, and no over-compression. Most importantly, he actually feels good wearing them — and he looks great in them. If you have a fit guy who refuses to give up his old shorts because “nothing fits right,” these are worth trying.

Want to love this but if it’s a replacement or intended upgrade for the mako, it ain’t no mako. I’ll tell you why. Firstly, the material is so light and flimsy that it appears cheap. Not something for HIIT workouts like mako was. Second, drawstring on outside - lame. Third, the waistband has zero rigidity so if you have the slightest belly, it rolls over itself 5 times. I literally hate these shorts as a replacement for mako. I have an “original” pair of makos from years ago and the degradation of quality and durability is astounding. Love the brand, hate this short.
