Embellished Mesh Sheath Dress

Dress looks quite elegant and perfect for a Black Tie optional event. Unfortunately the zipper is tough to get started and once you start pulling it up, you feel like the construction of the dress is about to fall apart. You cannot get the zipper up by yourself without stressing the dress itself. Sequins and beads fell off from the minute I put it on, and sitting at a wedding reception was tough. Also the decorative sequins/beads fell off the dress all night long when dancing at the reception. I did get several compliments on the dress, but I doubt I can ever wear it again as the construction is so shabby. Pretty expensive to wear only once!

I was so excited about this dress, but ended up disappointed. I almost always wear a size 12 for dresses, including sheath dresses like this, but this was impossible to zip (I am busty, but sheath dresses work great for that figure). The 14 was so big that it draped on me, and even the sales person agreed it didn't look good. Plus, the dress was very heavy -- far too uncomfortable to wear to a wedding of furn night out. Also, the beading under the arms rubs against the beading on the dress there, so I was paranoid about moving my arms. There were even beads falling off in the dressing room. Last, the bead work in the images isn't the best representation. I thought the bead work would be light and subtle, but it was almost overpowering on the dress. All in all, it's a beautiful piece, but not practical styling and hard to fit.

I absolutely love this dress! I bought this dress to wear to a wedding and I received many compliments on it. However, because there is so much beading it weighs approximately 3lbs, but the good news is, when it’s on you it doesn’t feel like it weighs that much at all. Another piece of information that’s important is the dry cleaners will not clean this dress. It says spot clean only on the tag and it says do not dry clean. My dry cleaners told me to use a mesh laundry bag and turn it inside out,and wash it on the delicate or hand wash cycle and then lay flat to dry. It worked! Barely any of the beading came off in the wash. Another important piece of information to know is that when you sit in this dress it does shed a some beads. I ordered a 6 petite and it was too big. I had to order a size down from what I normally wear 4petite. I hope this was helpful!

NOT TRUE TO SIZE: I fit a 16P in tops and a 12P in bottoms. Since there was a note next to the size selection that said you should order DOWN a size if you are "in between" sizes, I ordered both a 16P and a 14P. Unfortunately BOTH were too big. So if you can't try it on in the store, you may want to order 2 sizes DOWN to get the best fit and return the 2nd dress. This dress is beautiful and made well. It is very heavy because of the profuse beading. The sheath is a straight rectangle, no shaping for curves (although the material stretches some) so it was not flattering on me. I had to return it.
