Mahon Platform Sandal (Women)

I bought these a few years ago and I love them although I don’t wear them very often because of our dress code at work. It is finally warm enough in Seattle to wear them and I noticed that the ankle strap is completely separating from the backing. This is actually happening throughout the sandal a strip of the lining fell out. I’ve worn them less than 15 times for sure. I’m really disappointed. There are threads hanging out from the straps. They are super comfortable and cute but they have not held up well in this regard. The footbed and leather is great. The lining is not.

The original Mahon Platform Sandals were amazing. I have 3 different colors. I just ordered the new ones and they have changed the foot material to more like a cork material with a lip around the edge. Bad idea!!! It’s hard and my Big toe touches the edge of the lip and it blisters along with the other toes that rub against it. I tried a larger style but had the same results. Please change back to the original style!!!

Love love love these....I do believe the footbed is a tad short. Normally I wear a 39 in Euro sizing but my toes were hitting the edge and my heel was all the way back. Am sending back and hoping the 40 will work. Love the honey color and the softness of the leather....great if you have a bunion.

Typically Pikolinos brand is one of my favorite shoes. The sole of these were weird flexible. They ran small so I had to return the first pair for running small and then the size up was not what I would hope. The Pikolinos website has many better choices than what Nordstroms is caring right now.

I kept these because I loved the gold and overall design but I’ve had issues with them. One, they run short so size up. I regret not doing that. As I’ve worn them the cushioning around the toes has flattened - it has a squishy (almost like on plastic) feeling when walking. I love my other shoes/boots from this brand but I don’t think these sandals are durable and up to their usual standards- agree with the prior reviewer on that.

Very cute comfort shoes. Would have given them 5 stars except that they are a bit large, possibly stretched from being tried on, so that straps are adjusted as tightly as they can be with positioning of Velcro — leaves no possibility for tightening them more as they stretch from my wearing them. Very soft, great cushioned sole. Can wear with dresses or pants.
