5'1", 34D, 130lbs - I originally sized down to XS in this because F&E tends to run large for me but found this to be true to size and will need to exchange for size SM. It's a nice thick sweatshirt, low for my frame so may need a stich or cami, the tighter arms help complement the looser body fit. Will exchange for the darker gray (elephant) on F&E site because the light gray just didn't do it for me... a hefty price for a sweatshirt so wanna make sure it's right.

I love this sweatshirt. It has nice details. It has a classy and upscale look to a basic sweatshirt. I hate the price point, however, as a 50 something, smart, classy, elegant and casual clothing seems hard to find. I became acquainted with F&E a few years ago when I purchased my first item, the Eileen button up. I have been hooked since. This will be a nice addition to my travel wardrobe, worn with a pair of tulip pants also from F&E. Incidentally, I purchased this a few years ago and returned, due to the price point. A few years older and finding it more difficult to find flattering and comfortable clothing, I relented and purchased again. I first purchased the black and I much prefer the grey.

I truly think that if you pulled the Frank & Eileen logo out of this shirt and donated it, it would be passed over. The construction is so weird that I can just imagine what the workers are thinking as they make these up. Something along the lines of. “Crazy Americans.” I like the the F & E Patrick pop over Henley very much. It is super cozy but on this triple fleece version they have dealt with the thicker fabric by making a cobbled together collar design that (I believe) looks worn, funky and badly made. The collar doesn’t lie flat nor does it really stand up. Worst of all, there is a random snap on the placket of the one I received. No doubt this is an afterthought in response to the complaints on the button down shirts not having a top button. I agree with those as I have returned several button downs for just that reason . But a shirt that is a basically a pull over Henley looks absurd with this snap “open” as you always see it, and it does nothing for the line of the shirt when closed. F & E have a cachet with the cotton coming from Italy, the made in America (not all of it) pride and the cool California vibe. But if it didn’t say F & E I don’t think people would be buying this.
