Sedley Eau de Parfum

Sample first Sedley, greenley, and Perseus. I didn’t like Sedley at first smell soapy in the opening but fresh and lean toward other two. After couple wear, I realized sedley last longer on me a good 8 hrs, the dried down reminds me of the scent from my childhood memory. Base notes are: Ambroxan, Sandalowood, Cashmeran, Vetiver, Cedar and Patchouli which perfect. Opening of Greenley was amazing fresh apple but as I started wearing more, to my nose it leans more toward masculine.

This is a great summer scent, it’s fresh with a slight sweetness that gives off a playful approachable energy and is unique enough to stand out from typical aquatic fragrances. This is not a loud fragrance, which you should know to expect if you are interested in trying it out. It projects about 1 foot from your skin and slightly more trailing behind wherever you move. Indoor air conditioning does not do this fragrance justice, this is one that comes alive with the summer heat and an outdoor breeze so I wouldn’t say it particularly shines in an office setting, but can be good if you don’t want to overwhelm anyone. On me, It lasts around 6-8 hours, which I’m sure could be improved by applying moisturizer first, or spraying on clothing. In my opinion, this is perfect as a fragrance not to wow a crowd or demand attention, but rather something that will guarantee when someone does enter your personal conversation bubble, or brush past you, you will smell clean, interesting, and alluring. My only complaint would be that I think it should last a few more hours with the same intensity, 12hrs and it’d be perfect in my eyes.

We absolutely love this scent on my husband so much so that we bought it despite the price. In advance, we had read the reviews and people stating that it didn’t last so we knew this before purchasing. Yes, beautiful scent, but short lived. I have a sensitive nose and don’t even smell it on his collar later like I normally would with other colognes. Would I buy again? Maybe. It smells so good I guess I’d be hopeful for some improvement on the longevity.
