Super Dry & Detox Shampoo Set $54 Value

Smells like a bottle of perfume was poured into this and gave me a massive headache as I’ve been using a clean line of hair products without chemically fragrance. I got this duo because I needed a new dry shampoo and thought the shampoo would be a bonus. Haven’t tried the dry shampoo because the shampoo is so bad I wouldn’t recommend this set. Also most detox shampoos leave my hair soft and scalp feeling fresh, this did nothing but strip moisture.

I use this when my hair is “really dirty” like a few days dirty. It gets the dry shampoo and product build up out. Then I wash with my purple and condition. Definitely not a daily shampoo. Also good when your toner is a bit too much. Some of us blondes get that too much purple tint after a service. This helps. The dry shampoo is just enough without being too heavy and smells fabulous!

1: No comment on the usefulness of the dry shampoo component of the set. It smells good, that’s it. 2: The detox shampoo is hands down the worst thing I have ever put in my hair. I have thin, straight, highlighted, mid-length, white-girl hair. As soon as I put it on my wet hair, my hair seized up and instantly felt like a ball of steel wool. I’m not exaggerating. It was difficult to wash my hair because it made it a hard, tangled mess. I conditioned it with a top quality conditioner and it made no difference. In addition to that, I had to use about a third of a bottle of spray-on leave-in conditioner just to get a comb through it and it still felt like wire. I blow dried is as usual and it stripped my hair so bad that my hair was frizzy and KINKY. My hair is normally so straight it won’t hold curl from a curling iron and now it looks like someone took a crimper to it (crimpers were circa 1980 something if you weren’t alive back then to experience them). It’s over a week later now, and the mask treatments from a different brand are helping my hair recover but it still feels a little wirey and crunchy. Also, it did nothing to improve scalp buildup. This product had a lot of good reviews online, but who knows if they are fake or for a different hair type. The last time I had this sort of horrible tangling result with my hair was with JJ baby shampoo in the early 1980’s.

Was using another ACV detox shampoo/conditioner that worked well but didn’t leave my hair soft & something was missing. Tried this and not only does it smell amazing it detoxed my oily roots and didn’t leave my hair feeling stripped, aka super squeaky clean (like Fekkai). Followed with Purology Hydrate conditioner and omg my hair looked AND felt amazing. AND!!! AND…..My level 11 silver white strands were brought back to life, the color amazing & yellow gone. I use a filter on my shower head and together my hair looked & felt just fab. Have used several times since, especially when I need to condition with a purple depositing conditioner and my hair looks almost as good as a color refresh which keeps me away from stylist longer. Be sure to read the directions…this needs to be applied in sections AT the root and allowed to sit for several minutes to work the way its intended. If you get the scalp scrubber it works even better!!! Smells amazing.
