Relaxed Fit Blazer

Prefect blazer for me. Can dress up or down. Length good. I also like the material because it’s pretty light but not too thin. And not cheap looking plus a stylish trendy fit. Oversized but true to size. If in between perhaps size down. I wanted to order in additional colors but I tried the blue illusion and didn’t like it as much as the black.

I used to love Nordstrom. Called myself a Nordy girl even! Now they stop sending any samples with beauty purchase, NOT ANY NOW! That used to work, I would buy soooo much they sent and things I was going to buy and didn’t like I and then have to return costing everyone time/money. Those days are over AND they used to most despicable shipping company now! Go look at the pic I took of my now ruined garment that the carrier flings from their vehicle! This has happened over and over and over and over! So my review is the jacket is a teabag left out in this very stormy wet day in April and buying elsewhere would’ve benefited me because now I have to pack it up and take it somewhere

I love the slight oversize fit of this blazer and how the material drapes on my petite frame. There's some shoulder padding but not too much so as not to be overwhelming. I looked for an oversize blazer for a long time but never committed b/c I was scared of the huge shoulder pads and the 'too large' effect. This blazer is in perfect oversize proportion to my size. Also, the material is soft with slight structure so, it isn't boxy like other blazers. It's casual yet stylish. The material is a nice soft blend - it doesn't feel like cheap acrylic the way some other blazers do. It also hits me below the hip so, it covers up my butt which I appreciate.

Love this blazer ! Love the longer length and relaxed style, fabric is brushed and soft to the touch; beautiful matte cool black. Sleeves are generous and can be rolled up like the pic. Not washed it yet. I tried a similar style, Open Edit, at the store with a different fabric (typical poly-blend) and liked it though shoulder pads were too prominent. I took a chance and ordered this online after seeing the cute matching trouser pants at the store (pants hv a junior cut and didn't work for me). Is a great value at this price-point, is lined so shoulder pads don't show (whew!), not stiff or prominent. I got my usual M size. Is not a tailored, pinched-in look, is 'relaxed boxy' or slightly over-sized for a casual look. Works great at the office or w/jeans. The lightweight fabric hangs nicely and looks great from the rear view. I got black, the other colors are vibrant. Hope Open Edit adds a steel gray or tiny-checked pattern, etc to this line.

When this coat arrived I tried it on and it looked terrific. I couldn't wait to wear it. First I washed it because it had that "warehouse smell", and it is now wilted and wrinkled in a way that I can't fix with a cool iron. I loved the way this coat looked on me and I'm sad that I'll never wear it because of the wrinkles. I wish I'd returned it.
