Stretch pants disguised as jeans!
Warning! These are the "new" cheaply made VERY stretchy Marilyn straight leg jeans....not the old 91% cotton version. The original description (no longer visible online) of these pants said "made in the USA/imported" which makes no sense at all. This pair was made in China, contains only 64% cotton, 23% polyester, 11% viscose and 2% elastin. This is pretty much the equivalent of the made in Mexico NYDJ pants advertised on Amazon. Because they are so stretchy, purchasing one size down is not enough. These are ill-fitting and made with cheap, thin material. Did they really think they could eliminate 1/3 of the cotton and nobody would notice? Something unfortunate has happened to this brand. Too bad.

Something off
I received these jeans...I am 5’7” and these pants are 4 inches longer on me than they should be...I ordered the regular size but I think they sent me extra material...lol...I could size down a size and they would end up loose on me by the end of day, if I wear the ones I ordered, they will be at my ankles by end of day.
I have other NYDJ’s and they do not fit this way

I love this when the fit is right and the elastic fibers are not already broken but the exact same model and size fit differently. There are some that fit perfectly while others start bagging within 15 minutes of wearing. They also have this habit of puckering at the upper thigh, I assume from broken elastic fibers. I have seen them brand new on the rack with this defect, while other times, it appears after a while. I had been putting them in the dryer and so blamed myself because I had not been following the care instructions which I note are not available on the website. But now that I follow them exactly, wash in cold water, turned inside out and line dry, it still happens. Clearly there quality control is way off. So buyer beware. When on sale buy them, take them back if they do t fit or already puckered and just realize that they are not going to last as long as other jeans. For example I have a 20-30 year old pair of Ralph Lauren’s that I garden in now and they still fit the same and are just now wearing out in the rear.

Made in China
Have a few pair of NYDJs and this is the first one I purchased which was not American made. What a difference! The fabric is inferior and because they came very wrinkled, when I ironed them the odor was overwhelming. Be sure to order one size down but still a good fit - if you can put up with the smell.

Petite size has very long legs
I ordered the 12P and had they were 5 (!?) inches too long. I’m 5’ 4” and my legs are actually long for my shortness
