Noir G Volumizing & Curling Mascara

Apparently this one is either a hit or miss but I am so glad I decided to give it a try regardless. As many of Guerlain's makeup items, they seem a little basic and unassuming but once I try them, wow, they truly become classic staples that ALWAYS perform and just work for me and my taste. I live in south Texas, very hot weather, oily skin and this mascara has never smudged or flaked on me. I absolutely love the brush as I feel that is just as important as the formula. The curvature is perfect and overall size as well; not too large, not tiny. The bristles brush through and almost stretch the lashes, kind of like a round brush would on hair to volumize. The formula itself is wonderful for my average lashes. It's thickening enough and lenghthens but without every overdoing it. I find it to be perfectly buildable but I prefer natural-looking lashes. I do have to use a curling primer underneath because ANY non-waterproof mascara makes my curl fall instantly. This one, surprisingly, on its own, takes a while for my curl to fall and I'm okay with that at times but I do prefer the primer for the curl to stay as I do with any regular mascara for that matter. I loved it so much I told my sister-in-law about it; she's very picky about her mascaras but was happy to report she LOVED it! The brown is a rich red-undertone brown and the black is saturated. I have tried both and they are gorgeous each in their own time and place. Absolutely stunning and perfect for everyday or a for a luxurious boost of drama.
