Nixon
Watch company Nixon was founded in 1997 in Encinitas, California, by Andy Laats and Chad DiNenna. The duo worked in the action-sports arena and believed that the watch industry lacked a brand that spoke to their tastes and lifestyle. Today Nixon design teams travel the globe seeking adventures and gathering experiences that inspire the watches they create for the active-youth market.

The "Kensington" Black/Gold
I purchased the black/gold watch with the black strap and black face. I love this watch! Very good quality, the leather strap is soft and not stiff like other watch straps can be. I really love the black on black because it makes the gold hardware pop. I'm very happy with my purchase.

FLAT WHITE FACE
Similar to the other review, the face of the watch is a FLAT WHITE color that actually looks cheap, like paper cardstock, up close. Nothing like the shimmering "mineral crystal face" shown online. Nonetheless however, I still love this watch! you can't tell unless you look up close and from afar and to everyone else, this watch is beautiful. The band feels like good quality and the gold does not look cheap nor flashy. Note that if you have small wrists this might not be for you-- The smallest notch is loose on me (I'd estimate as one notch less than kate spade and almost 2 less than daniel wellington)

Simple and Clean
I bought this for a gift for my fiancé. She loved it. She wanted a watch that was simple, clean and crisp. The watch is not too heavy and goes great with a black outfit or accompanying a black purse.

Great quality, very plain face
I bought this watch as an alternative to the Kate Spade Metro after reading poor reviews on the leather band. This watch is very good quality, the black leather band feels very sturdy and looks flawless. The watch itself is beautiful and I am very pleased with it's size, though the only thing I don't love about it is how flat and white the face is. It doesn't look quite as rich as the band suggests. I think this is just personal preference though and I would definitely recommend this watch for anyone who wants a classic black leather band and feminine gold accents.

Gave Up On It
It’s a sharp looking watch, but I gave up on it. The first one ran slow and so did the second one. What’s the point of having a watch if it doesn’t keep correct time?
