Glued (not stitched) together
Pocket zipper is glued onto the fabric and comes unglued after washing. The whole hoody then becomes pretty much unusable. Horrible!

Men’s Sunshield Hoody
This is one of the best lightweight sun protection layers on the market. Quality is superb and the fit is spot. I’m 5’10” 180 and medium is perfect. Athletic fit. Not baggy but not tight. Material is the perfect weight. Many sun layers are too thin and feel insignificant. The sunshield isn’t thick by any means but the material is more substantial and will be more durable over time. 4 stars because this does NOT have thumb loops as advertised in the product photos. I thought maybe the first one I bought was a fluke but the second one was missing the thumb loops as well.

Doesn't breathe
Doesn't breathe at all, it's like wearing a plastic bag. Took it on a bike ride in moderately hot weather and was dripping in sweat within minutes, and I ride every day. It's super comfortable, high quality, well-made and fits well, but it's not really a "SunShield". Maybe good for walking casually, but not for high output activity in real summer heat.

Great for climbing and touring.
Purchased for alpine climbing and ski touring. It is a little more robust than a typical sun hoody which I appreciate. I recently took it for a spin on a mixed couloir climb to a steep skiing descent and it performed very well to the point it was pretty much the only layer I wore the whole time in 40 degree temps in and out of shade. Paired with a crater lake short sleeve underneath seemed to be a winning combo. XL fit very well for a 46" chest as with all other MH gear.
