So hit or miss with MOTHER
I sized up from a 28 (my regular MOTHER size) to a 29 (5'4 130) as I did for the petite sizing of the Insider Crop Step Fray in Limited Edition, which were a perfect fit...even a little bit short in length. I just received these and I could barely get my leg in them. I usually have the opposite problem and most jeans are too baggy on me. The length is ridiculously long, even if I wore heels (which I won't). The denim is slightly stretchy and thick, which I love and they are a nice light wash.

good quality and flattering on
Bought these primarily because of the inseam & bootcut style. Would agree they run one size small. I am always a 29 inch waist size 8 and I definitely needed the 30 in these. Good fabrication 96% cotton with 3% polyester and one percent the last team, which gives a tiny bit of give. Look really good on.

definitely runs small
I usually order based on reviews of others and they were right about these jeans running small. I am a true size 28 in MOTHER jeans, ordered a 29 and STILL should have gone up to a 31. Going back.
