Rae Pencil Skirt

This Michael Stars skirt is a versatile piece to have in your closet that can be worn casually with sandals or athletic shoes, or dressed up with heels. Great travel item. I plan to bring this on a trip to Europe because I can wear it sightseeing during the day and to dinner at night. That's if I can figure out what size to keep. I am 5'5 with a 28" waist and 38.5" hips. The pic is black size small. The waist is too tight on me so I would say small fits waist 26-27.5". In order for the curve of the waist and hips to fit me properly I have to wear it really high, up to my rib cage. At my waist, the skirt is too long and I would need to have it hemmed a few inches shorter to fall to a more flattering length just below my knee. The slit makes walking easier and I think adds more style (sexier too). I got the rust color in medium and the waist is too big and stands an inch away from my body, best fits waist 29-30". I really need a size 6 because I'm between small and medium. With the black you could size down but with lighter colors I would opt for the larger size if you are debating between two. The fabric has some stretch to it and the rouching on the sides is flattering. My husband liked this on me too. Looked cute with a casual t-shirt noted at the waist and sandals, also loved it with a black bodysuit, Gucci belt and nude heels.
