'Palm Desert' Sandal

Heel is a lot higher than in decription, rather than 3 inches as originally described the heels are 4 1/2 inches, now the description has been changed to 4 inch but still wrong.

I purchased these shoes to take on vacation. They are very nice to look at but unfortunately not comfortable at all. The height was too high and the shoe felt heavey on my feet. The leather was very stiff and uncomfortable on my skin. Not well made either. They went back.

I purchased this sandal to wear for my engagement photos last month. I really liked the look and feel of the shoe and it was actually very comfortable. The problem, and the reason I had to return the shoes was that after only one hour of walking around taking photos the weaving on the toe and heel was all scuffed and torn and ruined. These are cute shoes but they are not durable at all, for the price I expected them to last longer than a couple hours.

These shoes are gorgeous. However, I returned them for a few reasons. First, they were so uncomfortable that I couldn't even stand in them. I think it's not well designed. The heel is so high and the stress on the sandal is in front, where the 2 sides are stitched together. I thought that eventually it would rip. I loved the woven, gold leather platform but it looked like it could fray very easily.

I so wanted these shoes. I kept seeing them on the models wearing clothes I was purchasing. I was excited when they arrived, but disappointed when I tried them on. The back strap was too short and did not fit correctly. Sadly, I had to return, but with the return instructions included in the box and return label included, it made it easy to drop off at the post office. Just remember to write down the tracking number yourself. Thanks Nordies for making it easy to return an item!

I need to bump the rating up on these because they are seriously the cutest wedge sandals I've seen for this summer. I was trying to avoid cork and espadrille heels because they aren't dressy enough for my immediate needs. I went with black because the pale gold is not as subtle as it looks online (the braided leather around the wedge is very bright gold). The leather is very very soft and straps are comfortable; I may live to regret that I didn't go half size up on these length wise but I was truly between sizes (8.0 and 8.5). Also the wedge is a very typical height in my opinion, contrary to some of the other comments (it is not unusually high and if you look at the back view of the shoe online it is very accurate).
