What it does: It's scented with Aveda's own pure-fume aroma made with certified organic spearmint, vetiver, lavender and other pure flower and plant essences, while amla helps thicken each individual hair strand, making your hair look and feel thicker from roots to ends. It provides a highly versatile hold with a natural finish.
How to use: Work a small amount between your palms and apply evenly through damp or dry hair.

Have been using this product for awhile now (reordered several times). It’s great, medium hold with matte shine. Holds up well throughout the day and smells nice too.

Like a terrible version of the grooming clay
This is a less nice smelling and a far weaker/less useful version of grooming clay. I keep trying to use it with different additions but it does not thicken at all (I have very fine hair), nor does it have much hold, nor does it last more than about 45 minutes. Worth a try but this one is going in the trash.

Very Light Hold
Unfortunately I am disappointed in the thickening paste as I was expecting it to have a good hold, thicken up my hair a little, but it didn't. It's definitely not for me.
