Melina Underwire Lace Midi Cocktail Dress

First the look is sexy, the color is exactly as it appears in the picture… I would call it Red Wine. The lace is soft, not scratchy and there’s just the tiniest bit of stretch. You can’t really let this dress out bc the full length lining is equally tight. I’m usually an xs in other brands, but this xs had me stuffed like a sausage. I could barely zip it up and I have a very narrow upper body (size 30 bra). I ordered a small and hoping that fits. Yes, the straps are flimsy and you must be careful not to rip or snag this. It’s not sturdy.

It’s beautiful and seems well made with one exception: the straps. I don’t know what’s going on with them, but they came sewn poorly with a third, useless strap between the adjustable straps, if that makes sense. It instantly broke off and makes it very difficult to actually adjust them. The straps themselves are flimsy, and I’m worried they’ll snap while wearing it, or adjusting it. I plan on having someone sew new straps onto it. I’m thankful I got it on sale, otherwise I would return. The brand also runs small, so I would normally be a medium, but ordered a large and it fits quite snug.
