The Petite Balloon Jeans

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these in the Greendale wash on final sale. For reference, I’m 5'0", 105 lbs, and ordered the 24P.The sizing itself was correct, but the fit felt a little off on me. I noticed some bunching in the front that created a slightly awkward camel toe effect, which wasn’t very flattering. Sizing up wasn’t really an option since they weren’t tight to begin with, they already fit slightly loose, and I didn’t want them any looser.The balloon shape in this wash also felt more exaggerated compared to the Raebrook wash (I bought both). On me, it made the overall silhouette look more pronounced than I prefer.The petite length was still long, so I would need to get them hemmed. That said, the quality is amazing, I just didn’t love the more exaggerated balloon shape in this wash as much as I did in the other one.

I tried these on and absolutely fell in love with them. They are the perfect wide leg jean without being quite as exaggerated as a full barrel jean. The wash is great to be dressed up and down. They are super comfortable. I usually prefer my jeans to be higher waisted but I really like where these hit.

I love the cut, color and fit with the exception that I CANNOT get these buttoned around my waist. These definitely run small and I'm usually consistently a 27 in Madewell. These aren't even close to getting buttoned. I need a size up. I'll have to donate these to someone as I can't return as it was final sale.
