Side Cinch Muscle Tee

The color of this shirt is perfect, just as shown online. The length was good for me, came to my natural waist (I'm 5'4"). There's not a lot of stretch to this shirt and it's a thicker material than I was expecting. Because of that, and the fact that I have a large chest, it just didn't lay nice in the front. The fabric puffed out at my midsection rather than draping and I didn't like that it made me look like I had a pooch.

I first purchased this extremely versatile top in Lighthouse (off-white). After realizing how positively flattering it is, I went back for more aaaaand fast forward … I can now add True Black and Tranquil Lake (cornflower blue) to my growing? collection. For reference, I’m 5’2” 125ish, size 4/26, and am so grateful that Madewell’s size chart is consistently spot-on!!

I was hesitant to buy this as I wasn't sure if the sleeves would accentuate my broad shoulders, but I ended up loving it. I have a short torso and this top hits at the waist of my pants which I love - not quite cropped, but it may be on someone taller or with a longer torso. The fabric is nice and thick without feeling too hot and the cinched sides are a nice detail. I'm a solid medium in tops but sized up to a large based on reviews for a little room and am glad I did (I'd say it runs true to size but is fairly fitted without sizing up). I will order this in other colors for sure.
