Lorimer Leather Backpack

I've had my backpack for over a year now and it's still going strong! I had been looking for a high quality leather backpack after so many of my leather purses kept falling apart at the straps. I carry a 40oz metal water bottle and a regular purse just can't withstand the use. Plus, having two straps distributes the weight better than just a one-shoulder bag. The leather is tough and all the zippers and hardware are holding up. Nothing has broken, torn, frayed, nothing! I have even had my water bottle accidentally leak in the bag a few times and I just used a blow dryer to dry it out and you can't even tell it ever happened. If anything, I do wish it maybe had a divider or another large pocket inside, but it's very roomy. I don't wear light colors so I can't speak about the color rub-off some of the other reviews mention...I've not noticed anything like that. This is a workhouse of a bag and I'm so happy it looks like I'll be able to use it for years to come!

I must preface with how much I LOVE Madewell. I have 8 leather bags and counting. I am a leather connoisseur and know how to care from my leather products. With that said: I absolutely hate this bag. The zipper is beyond frustrating. I thought it would get better with use. It actually gets worse. The thin straps look awful after use. I can't even fit my 13 inch laptop in there because theres no divider so I then use my Madewell laptop sleeve and that thing cant fit in there. So, I end up using two bags to carry what I need. The black damaged one of my shirts from the dye. This was paid full asking price and I am past the return window. I was using the bag 3 days a week, if that. Now it just sits there. What a waste of money. I don't recommend this bag. It is so expensive for a mediocre product. Very upset with this purchase because I have been so pleased with my countless other Madewell purchases.
