What it does: M·A·C Technakohl Liner is a mechanical pencil-style liner. The M·A·C retractable eyeliner formula is soft and creamy with intense, rich color. It blends on application and dries quickly to a long-wearing, no-smudge finish. The versatile liner easily lines the top and lower lashlines of eyes. The long-wearing formula (up to 8 hours) is transfer-resistant, smudge-resistant, sweat- and humidity-resistant and waterproof.
How to use: Draw in desired shape along the lashlines/waterlines.

Perfect everyday liner - love it!
I bought this in Photogravure and it is the perfect liner to wear everyday. I like to define my upper lashlines and was using a black liner, but wanted to get something less harsh for day time. I've tried dark brown and charcoal liners before, but they just weren't dark enough and would fade halfway through the day. Photogravure is a perfect deep brown, almost black, so it still defines, but it's softer than a true black liner. I even use it to line my bottom lashes, and it's still OK to wear during the day. The best part is that it lasts all day and doesn't give me raccoon eyes. 100% satisfied with my purchase.

Nice color
It is a nice color but hard as a rock. Does not go on easily the crayon part is entirely too hard. Would not recommend.

Not as good as other eyeliners
I was excited to try this eyeliner. It goes on very easily but does not have very good intensity or longevity. I have to go over the line several times to really see the color. I have the brown color and am not sure if I would buy it again. I normally use Bobbi Brown and will probably order that after I run out of this. It is a pretty color but does not last all day.

I have this eyeliner in both black and purple dash. I give it a 5 stars for the black color and 3 stars for the purple dash. I was disappointed with the purple eyeliner because it didn't have a rich enough color for me. I use Clinique violet liner and it lined my eyes so much better. I was just looking for an alternative. However, the opposite applies for the black liner. Mac's black liner is great. I have used Lancome, Estee Lauder, Clinique and Mac.

Best Eyeliner
I was looking for a waterproof, smudge-resistant, automatic black eyeliner and hit the jackpot with this one. Not only is it everything it purports to be, but it is very reasonably priced for a product with so many fine attributes. I wear lots of moisturizer, including around my eyes, which makes it challenging to find a long lasting eyeliner that doesn't end up "moving" while I participate in my day. I do wear a powder liner over the Mac pencil liner to help ensure its staying power, but I've done this with other liners and they still "move" with time. Not the Mac! It's great. I'm sold.

Great eyeliner!
This pencil makes such a fine line - it can be layered for more drama or used solo for subtly enhancing your eye color and lashes. I have hazel eyes so I use the purple dash... the shimmery eggplant really brings out the green in my eyes and I love it! I have sensitive skin and eyes and I have never experienced any problems with this eyeliner. Love it!
