WOW!
Many years ago when MAC first brought out pigments, I bought a set at Christmas. I did not like all the glittery fallout at all and soon dumped them. Lately I've been noticing how much I like the eye shadow of one of my favorite Nordstrom associates. I finally asked her what she wore and she immediately took me to the MAC section of the makeup department (She's the jewelry department manager.) She told me the secret was to spray the makeup brush with a makeup setting spray (she used MAC brand), and then dip it into the pigment. Brush across eyelids in whatever way you like. My first few efforts were not great, but now I've got the hang of it and love that I can apply more heavily for evening and much more lightly for daytime wear. I now own quite a few bottles of pigment!! LOL!!

Awful
I used these pots a few years ago and they were gorgeous, so I thought I'd treat myself, but was so disappointed. The colour looks grey, rather than blue green, it creased within a few hours of wear and I found it really difficult to blend.

Hi Elle, thanks for your message about our Deep Blue Green Pigment. We are sorry to hear about your disappointment. As this is a pigment, the best way to blend it is to use a mixing medium which also gives more intensity. Please pop onto our website to chat with our Makeup Artists via Live Chat or WhatsApp. They will be delighted to advise on the best application techniques to achieve the desired look you want and without creasing.

Pros and Cons
I think the title of my review says pretty much what I feel about the pigments.
Pros: Some of the colors are really lovely, there's no glittery, just subtle sheen (though some are a lot more shimmery than others), it's true that it doesn't cake or streak, no matter how you layer it (with itself, other pigments or even other powder based formulas from different brands), you get a lot of product with the versatility to add it to other formulas, even nail polish
Cons: A bit tricky to work with, a high degree of fallout, so cleanup is hard and frustrating sometimes, such a tiny , TINY amount goes such a long way that the amount you get is ridiculous. Half the size at half the price would be more practical. This will be rancid before you use it all, even if you cut it into other products (lip gloss, etc) every day, very pure mineral colors can be irritating, especially those with a red base (blues) and I'm seeing a lot of people react when I rarely see that in general
Bottom line: Great to play with, a fun product that definitely has it's place. But not something I'd give 5 stars to with a clear conscience. It's really not for everyone.

Small bottle
The pigment has good color but the items is really small - about a thumb's height. I expected more. It's a little difficult to put on but the color is nice.

Great Product But Change the Container!
I bought this in the famous "Vanilla" shade. The color is extremely versatile. Mix a bit with foundation for an allover glow. Use as a highlighter on cheeks, browbone, collar bone...anywhere you want a shimmer. Applied lightly it's subtle. With a heavier hand it has more impact. Compared to other products I feel you get a lot for the money. I own another brand (MUFE) Star Powder which also are highly pigmented and extremely long wearing. For a couple more dollars you get around 1/3 of what MAC offers.
The reason for four stars is I wish they would have put a sifter securely fitted on the top. In a rush, I dropped the container and lost a bunch of product. I'd be glad to pay a dollar more for a better designed container.

love it!
i can't say enough about how useful these pigments are. they can be used on the eyes-as color, highlights & for layering. on the cheeks for highlights and on the lips. you can use a clear or flat color and make it sparkle or change the color entirely-again by layering. you can put 'em on with your fingers or a brush. i haven't tried it but it would probably go as highlights in hair!
they are small bottles, though i've seen smaller, & they are-dare i say 'multiuseful'? (is that even a word?) PLUS a little goes a long way.
maybe i have said enough......

The best
I have been using this for years and can't stop! I use this on the entire lid and then apply MAC embark in the crease. I use this for my every day look and have big brown eyes. Perfect with MAC engraved eyeliner on the top and bottom. This product lasts me a year and I use it every day.
