Knit Pajamas

While the fabric feels soft to the touch and I love bright pink color, these pajamas wrinkle like crazy. Yes, I know they're meant to be slept in and thus will inevitably wrinkle a bit, but these take wrinkling to an extreme. I wash all of my new clothing before I wear them, in a small front loading washer, and hang everything up to air dry. As needed, I steam my clothes gently to remove any wrinkles, and these wrinkled like the dickens despite the fact I was very careful when hanging them up and shaking/hand "pressing" out all of the wrinkles before they dried. In fact, before I gently steamed them, they looked like someone had rolled them into a ball and stuffed them between the mattress and box spring for a week; that's how wrinkled they were! In addition, the fabric is a bit thin and a bit see-through and I felt just a bit too much was visible through the bright pink fabric and I don't want anyone, even my husband to be able to discern anything through the fabric of my pajamas. The fact the fabric was a bit thinner than the other jersey and similar fabric pajamas I've bought this year may be a factor in why it wrinkles so easily. After the items dried fully from being steamed, I started to fold them, but at the slightest touch, they started to wrinkle again, and not just where I was folding them, but all across the fabric. The pajamas looked horrible, worse than they had BEFORE I steamed them! I simply cannot stand to wear wrinkled clothes, and that includes pajamas. This is WHY I chose a jersey knit; it's not supposed to wrinkle like crazy, but that's most assuredly NOT the case with this pair. Look at them, they wrinkle. Touch them, they wrinkle even more. And you can't shake out the wrinkles. I don't even want to think of what they would look like after being worn overnight, so I never did wear them. I simply folded them up and put them back in their bag and am sending them back to the store. Wrinkles are very uncomfortable to sleep on and I hate feeling the imprint of a wrinkle on my skin after sleeping on one all night; it's not only painful, it's also disfiguring when it's in a place that will be visible when you're wearing your regular clothes, such as your neck, forearm or lower leg. Instead of these pajamas, I recommend the Eberjey "Gisele" pajamas. Granted, they do cost more, but the fabric does NOT wrinkle at all, and other than the light pink pajamas (which have the same "see-through" issue that these Lauren jersey pajamas have due to the light color, the Eberjey darker colors, such as navy with pink sorbet trim; pebble with ivory silk trim, and charcoal heather with ivory trim, are gorgeous and there's no show-through of anything. In addition, the Eberjey "Gisele" pajamas last forever and then some!

I wanted a classic pair of pajamas that I could lounge in at home during the Fall and Winter, and these were so perfect! Soft, stretchy material with the pretty logo on the pocket. A gorgeous pajama set. Only downside is that after washing and drying, the pants did shrink and is now a little too short. Next time I wash them, I won't put them in the dryer.

Just the top sleeves run long. I purchased these online and I liked them but the sleeves were four to six inches too long. I took them into a store and had them altered. I wanted them for a trip I was taking. Anyway, I washed them when I got them back and they shrank more than four inches.Now the sleeves are too short as well as the pants. They run large so that when they shrink they may fit you. If you get them to fit before washing then they will be too short after washing.

I bought them in the pink,so its safe to say my husband noticed I had new pajamas! They are so comfortable.By the time I wanted to get another pair,it was too late for my size.Oh well it will only make me appreciate them more when I wear them! These are not only beautiful,but so comfortable,you do not want to take them off in the morning! THey are very well made.I would NOT think twice about perchasing! PS I put "true to size"as I bought a small,when Lauren REG is a bit big on me.(the small) The small is A LITTLE baggy on me,but that is the way I like my pjs.For those who like a tighter feel and look,I suggest you look at the Lauren Fit Guide!

If these pjs hadn't been on sale, I would not have purchased. I've purchased Lauren pjs for 30 years and loved the quality and had some last for many years, even though the flannel thinned. Most of the waist ties on the last batch of flannels were not strung throughout the waist and ripped off immediately and many of the buttons on the grey knit version of these pjs immediately fell off. Unacceptable reduction in quality. Very disappointing. After I've had these pjs hemmed, it will be interesting to see how they survive. If these haven't improved, I will be searching for a more quality conscious brand, even if more expensive, in future.

These pajamas are just ok. The fabric content is fine and they are comfortable. I like the color (I got the hot pink as all other colors were sold out in my size. I had planned to buy more if I liked, but I'm passing on this one.) I don' t care for the high rise on the pants. Its too high for me (I'm 5'4"). It would fit better on a taller person. The other problem for me is that the top gaps. I've worn them so I'm keeping them and I'll wear them but wish they fit better and I liked them more especially for the price. I'm not planning to buy more sets in this brand.
