What it is: A formula that utilizes fermented acidic sea muds to soften skin and gently lift away dry surface cells.
What it does: This multi-action complex smoothes and boosts skin's brightness and radiance to reveal a fresh new surface. As the cream is lightly massaged onto the face, pure diamond powder and polished sea quartz perform as physical exfoliants, while smart minerals convert the massage action into energy. Circulation is immediately stimulated and skin is awakened.
How to use: Massage onto a clean, damp face and neck using circular upward motions. Avoid the eye area. Rinse well. This resurfacing treatment is highly effective but very gentle and may only be needed once a week. For optimal results, follow with your serum and moisturizer.

Love La Mer!
This is one of my favorite La Mer products and I stopped using it for a while, but can't imagine WHY! My skin is so soft and feels so wonderful all the time. I use Creme de La Mer, plus the serum, and the eye concentrate as my regular routine and use the refining facial once a week and it's like going to a Spa! It feels so wonderful as you massage it into your skin and literally makes my skin glow and feel energized, clean and soft. I can't say enough about this product... even if you don't use the whole La Mer line, use the Refining Facial once a week and you'll wonder how you lived without it!!

This is so harsh!
Goodness, this stuff is so harsh! It is so hard to wash away, the only way it can be done is if you use it in the shower and really, really scrub because otherwise it really leaves a terrible white powdery residue. I know they say its important to exfoliate, but this is way too rough, it left my skin really dry, red and overall very offended.

Speechless!!!
I am a licensed cosmotologist and have worked in the beauty industry 10 years and have used numerous products for even more years, I'm 52. I'm literally a makeup and skincare junkie-always looking for something better! I have heard of La Mer, but because of the price stayed away. I don't mind spending money on beauty care if it works, but I thought La Mer was crazy priced, I mean how good could it really be! Well, I take that all back!!! I have never used anything that has instant results like the La Mer line, it's simply AMAZING!!! So far I'm using the Creme de la Mer moisturizer, Cleansing Oil, The Eye Concentrate, and had a sample of The Refining Facial-HOLY COW!!! I have never used anything that exfoliates to this degree, and it's so gentle! Now that I've tried La Mer, I'm done looking for the next best thing-this line is the best!!!!!

smoooooooth!
this is a great product - your skin will feel very smooth from the exfoliants in the cream. i massage it into my skin as the directions tell you to, but then i leave it on as a mask for about 5 minutes (the consultant at the la mer counter suggested this). your skin will feel so soft and firm when you're all done. my skin is moderately sensitive, but the product didn't bother me at all. i use it when my skin feels dull - once a week at most - and i've had the same tube for about 10 months.

La Mer: Fine Facial
This is a finely milled powdery cream with faint scent that works wonders. I apply and wait 10-15 minutes to dry, then rinse. My skin looks and feels great. I have had this tube for over two years and it lasts with the cap closed, as I haven’t used it regularly. Great if you love the line but the price point is high, and similar results can be achieved with other products.

Wow--am becoming a la mer convert
OK. I don't know how they do it, but this product does exactly what it says it will do. My skin is softer, smoother, and more radiant after one use. It seriously feels better after this than a full-blown facial at the spa. This is my second la mer product and I slowly fear that I will soon be entirely dependent on their skincare line.
As for the product itself, it's mild-smelling and feels like a super-fine, liquid-like clay.
