love them!
these shoes look great on! i was looking for a simple black shoe to wear every day that was classy and not too busy. these are perfect! they are very comfortable and look great on. I am normally a 7 and bought a half size down 6.5 and they fit great.

Flat
Not loving this shoe. The color was completely different and the quality is low grade.

Do not order 1/2 size down
These shoes are cute enough, but definitely overpriced for Chinese Laundry shoes--which, in my experience, are low end shoes. I bought the olive and justify the price with the unique color. However, they suggest ordering 1/2 size down and I did much to my dismay. I wear a 9.5, but ordered a 9. The pointy toe makes them too small and stiffness of the point makes them painful. Not sure why they'd suggest ordering 1/2 size down. I think it is because the shoes are actually european sized and the instruction was for the european sizes (which Nordstrom does not use). Moreover, they only come in whole euro sizes. For instance, my shoe box said, "9/40". And, a 9.5 would also have been a 40. I did also order the 10/41 to see if that would fit better and those were way too big. Long story short, I think these shoes are best if you are a whole size, or if you are "almost" a whole size. If you are almost a 1/2 size or a true 1/2 size--probably not the shoe for you.

Great basic shoe
Needed a soft shoe to wear with dress pants. The suede is nice. Fits true to size and doesn't constrain my feet like other pointy shoes. I can even wear them with bunions. A good buy.

It's hard to find an olive green shoe!
Just the color I was looking for! Upon reading the reviews, I bought a 9 instead of 9 1/2. well... I have to return for the larger size - I think they run true to size.

DD stole them!
I bought the olive suede for myself, and my 21 yo daughter begged me to give them to her (we are the same size and she has been searching for a great pair of loafers). I am still mourning the loss of the olive ones, but I got myself the black suede, and I really love them, too. Is this the best made shoe I have ever had? No. But I have ruined every pair of expensive loafers I have ever bought by spilling something on them, so I am happy to have a pair of very comfortable and adorable loafers that did not cost a fortune.
