Wonderful uniform shorts!
These shorts have been wonderful for our school uniform. My son has to tuck in his shirt and wear a belt and you would never know there is no zipper and the button is for looks only. I followed the size chart on the website and and they fit perfectly!

Size 4/5 run extremely large- beware!
The 4/5 size elastic shorts are huge on my almost 5 year old son. Even if they did fit, they don’t seem like a comfortable material.

Okay pants, but ripped out so soon!
My son loves these pants, much better than the zip up ones. The problem I have is that the shorts tore near the crotch after only having them for about 7 months. They have also faded a lot. I would have expected them to last much longer. I am going to purchase them again because he needs them for his school, and I hope this time the results are a little better.

Great quality; runs big
Great quality. Runs a little big for my kiddo. 5 years old, about 42lbs, roughly 44in. Length is right at the knee, but definitely need a belt to hold them up.

Very disappointing
I've been a Lands End customer for decades and was excited when my son's school switched to Lands End as their uniform supplier, assuming I could expect the same quality I've grown accustomed to from the brand. Unfortunately, that has not been the case for several of the items. These shorts, in particular, are not up to par. The elastic is only in the back half of the shorts, and it does not have much stretch. Additionally, the shorts do not have an adjustable waist, the fabric comes out of the wash much more wrinkled than cheaper brands, and to top it off, there are only 3 belt loops! Never thought to count belt loops before ordering, but if your kiddo needs a belt to actually help the shorts fit, don't bother with these. A belt just rides up above the waistband on the sides. Lands End, please improve the quality of the product; it does not live up to your standards. Also, please bring back slim sizes for kids.

Good product not adjustable
The shorts do not come with an adjustable waist. It only has elastic through the back. It should that option as not all children are one size fits all

Need husky sizes
XL was too small for my boy, but XXL was way too big. Husky sizes in these shorts would have probably been perfect. Need to make husky sizes in these shorts please.
