Cheaper fabric, higher price. No more Cordura.
Cheaper materials, same price. They stopped using the strong and dependable Cordura nylon. This new design is made of cheap fabric and no longer uses Cordura. The use of Cordura in the previous version of this shoe is the only reason we purchased the new version, assuming it was the same. Far from it, they placed profit over quality, like every cheapskate these days. Now they’re just like everyone else. Nothing sets New Balance apart from the competition because they cheated us with garbage fabric in place of Cordura. Sad. Not as comfortable either due to the cheap fabric, and less water resistant and less breathable. Quality decreased. Disappointed is an understatement.

I received a pair of shoes that was already worn
The shoes arrived earlier than expected, which was exciting. However, I noticed cat or animal hair on the inside of the shoe, and the bottoms were dirty. Upon closer inspection, I also found scuff marks on the front. I'm glad I checked, as the item is for my niece, and my sister is severely allergic to cat hair.
