Lolita Corset Cotton Blend Fit & Flare Dress

First time trying this brand and I am a new fan. One of the most beautiful dresses I’ve ever tried on. The corset bodice snatches & I loved playing with the straps for a strapless look (it doesn’t have a strapless option I just tucked them in). You don’t need undergarments. Love the pockets. The hem is weighted which gives great movement to the skirt of the dress. Timeless & worth the investment. Would be perfect for a rehearsal dinner or bridal shower/party. Elopement etc. Just get the dress!

I fell in love with the model photo the second I saw the dress. I even waited several months for it to be re-stocked in my size. When it arrived I was elated but that faded the moment I tried it on. The fit and sewing is awful, and I've worked as a fashion designer for over a decade. The bust doesn't fit at all but worse than that, the dresses pulls and buckles all over the top half of the dress. The neckline is wonky and bubbles, there's pull lines across the belly without being too tight on me (I bought a Medium because the small was way too small on me), and the seamline from the bodice to the skirt has a lip to it. I know sewing and construction and this dress was a massive disappointment, the small was too small on me and the medium was too big. As a whole, is seems like a quality control issue. Interestingly, when I went to the store to return it, the saleswoman said she hasn't seen anyone successfully buy a House of CB dress without returning it. This brand just had too many fit and sewing issues. 😔
