Duet Blowdry 2-in-1 Hair Dryer Brush

I had high hopes for this styling tool.. I have a straightener by ghd that I LOVE. This dryer brush is heavy, hard to hold and the drying setting which is only one.. is so low.. takes forever to dry a small section and because it’s heavy I would get tired easy. Also the brush is all the same material.. plastic? Metal? Well it holds no tension to the hair section you’re drying meaning you need to use both hands one to hold the dryer the other to hold your hair or it’ll slide off the brush. With all these frustrations I would end up getting sweaty and my hair becoming more frizzy. I ended up returning the brush. The return process was another let down because Nordstrom employee seemed to have a problem with me returning “just because it didn’t work out for me”

I'm shocked by the other review saying that the temperature is too low. I found it absolutely scalding on my fine hair. Seriously a second's contact with the tool and my hair was burning hot. I googled it and 365 is WAY too hot for fine hair. If I'd used it again I absolutely would've experienced serious damage. I returned it and got the T3 version, which has three different heat settings, is super easy to use, leaves my hair looking glossy, and is significantly cheaper. I also don't experience any mechanical damage with the T3. It glides very smoothly through my hair and I prefer it to the Dyson. To anyone reading this with fine or fragile hair, I recommend the T3!

I’ve heard great things about this new tool and wondered if it would work on my thin layered hair. I took a chance and absolutely love it. It cuts my time in doing my hair in 1/2! It took me a few times using it to understand where to place in my hair drying and then when to style. Everyone will be different but I spend more time at the root to provide lift and gradually move down drying. Style tip: it is like a blow dryer so it important not to hold in one place when you are closer to your scalp. Keep it moving and you will be amazed ! Worth the price!

So disappointed in GHD. All of their reviews on the website are incentivized. Unfortunately, many of them showed up on Nordstrom. I actually bought this item and so I can post on it without any incentive or pressure. It absolutely does what it's supposed to. It acts like a flat iron, round brush and hair dryer all in one. It is heavy and it get's really hot. Hot enough that you cannot touch the metal part of the brush. GHD claims it doesn't get more than 250 degrees. I turned my unit on and left it for 5 minutes running. I took a temp probe that my husband uses and tried it all over the iron. Nothing got hotter than 248 degrees. From my research, that is hot but not hot enough to really damage hair. That said and done, I always use a heat protectant(k18, olaplex or oribe). As I have had this for a few months, I don't notice any more damage or breakage than normal. I just wish that GHD would use actual reviews and not from people who got this for free.
