Comfortable/Quality
I am 5'1 and was afraid these would be at or above my knee and turns out to be perfect. They are comfortable and give you that modern look without being too tough or rough looking. These boots have the classic look that will last you years. If you look for quality, leather tall boots, these will be your best bet. Go for it.

Too wide for small calves
I purchased these based on a comment that they were for people with smaller calves. However, the tops were way too wide and because the material is flexible and stretchy, it looked very awkward. It's too bad, because they are lighter in weight (preferred) and soft. And love that it has a bit of grip on the bottom. Oh well!

Cute and practical
These are great looking boots with a lug sole that works well for snowy, icy streets. They are simple, but perfect for me. The calf width is not too wide, it looks good and doesn't gap. Great with cropped pants, dresses and skirts.

Beautiful boot
This boot would have been perfect except the calf was just a little too snug. I need a boot with a wide toe box due to bunions. The charcoal suede is so nice, but sadly I will need to return these.

Disappointing
Described as having leather lining - not so, it's fabric. Also, the color - in the pic both the shaft and the rubber sole look to be of similar hue, whereas in person - the top is lighter, the sole is VERY dark, blackish. I did not like the contrast. For what it is (a disappointment) - too expensive. I returned it pronto.
