runs big, def size down, no question
I’m usually a size medium or large in tops. I’m 5’4 and 165lbs, busty 34ddd. And don’t like tips to fit snuggly. I like comfy, I ordered medium and small just to compare the two sizes. And went with the size small. It was comfortable and still had some room.

Authentic Free People?
Loved the three Arden shirts I purchased on sale last year so much, I was willing to pay full price for the plum color. The shirt I received, when compared to my others, looks like a factory second or knockoff. The plum shirt was made in the same country as my others, however, it is not the quality I expect from the Free People brand. The sleeve placement is off between the right and left side. It also has smaller thumb holes, different tag, relaxed (rather than loose, oversized fit), cheaper, less soft fabric, crooked back seam, and poor finishing overall. My other three mediums, despite numerous washes, still fit like the day they were purchased. I wouldn't trust this one to survive one wash. The shirt I received was likely a return since the price was torn off from the hang tag. I am returning it as well.

Had to size up for the look I want!!!!
I’m 5’6”, 125 lbs. To get this to fit me the way it is shown on the models I had to buy a medium. I mistakenly believed the website and bought an extra small initially. Unfortunately the extra small fit me like a slightly bigger than usual very normal T-shirt - nothing remotely close to what was advertised. Does not hang down past my crotch at all. The small is also, sadly, nowhere remotely as long as what show on the models, though it does technically just barely cover my crotch, it is not long enough for leggings IMO, and still is not the fit advertised. I have to go all the way up to a medium to achieve the look I was sold in these photos. Bummed I was advised to size down.

So I really like this top a lot. You just need to size down. I’m normally a large or XL in shirts and I actually went down to a medium in this one. I have it in white and black

huge!
I guess the name of the shirt says it all....but just to be clear, this shirt is gigantic. The only way I could imagine someone wearing it and not looking ridiculous is if they knot up the side or wear as some sort of dress. And this is coming from someone who prefers longer shirts and finds most shirts to be too short. Material is nice and comfy and the Plum color is gorgeous but you’ll have to be creative in the way you style it as it isn’t something you can just throw on and walk out the door without looking foolish.
