Long Skinny Barrette

I have always wished for a barrette that was long so it still looks like I have my hair open from the front, and does NOT slip down after awhile, and I finally found it. If you are looking for a barrette that STAYS PUT, this is the one. At first I was hesitant because of the price, which let's face it, is a bit steep for something this small, but after talking myself into trying it, after having read the reviews, I am soooooooooooooo happy that I spent the money. I am not saying that it's worth this much, because for that price I would normally rather buy myself a pair of jeans, or shoes, but it is worth it, since I couldn't find it any where cheaper. Yup, I splurged and bought myself a couple more .... me bad, but hey, if it's exactly what I was looking for, why due with something that doesn't work exactly how you want it to, for cheaper.

I love these, but had to return Tokyo because the tones were too orange for my coloring. I have very dark hair, light-medium olive complexion. Alba, mojave and onyx are very flattering on me, so I bought all those and am very happy with the barrettes. They're understated and give a polished look. I like the subtle gold clip under each color. Wish Nordstrom had all the colors. Hope to see more, soon. I have medium-thick hair and these work well.

After growing up and living in urban areas with lots of high quality shopping I’ve been living in an area with fewer options for some years. One thing I miss is the easy access to small things like this barrette. I recently lost/broke the last of my ‘nice’ hair clips and realized I had no place to buy a new one. These are worth the higher price because they last for years and look lovely while holding my hair, which I’ve grown out unintentionally long because I also can’t find a great quality haircut in this area either. I’m so homesick for the city some days. But this little barrette is a bit of city comfort. Thanks Nordstrom online!
