Floral Puff Sleeve Midi Shirtdress

I’m probably too old for this dress but I love everything about it, especially the shape and the way it moves, and I’m keeping it. Ted Baker is always so well made and designed with interesting details, and this dress is no exception. The pleated cuff on the sleeves has a tucked look in the front. The skirt flares slightly at the bottom and looks so feminine as you walk. The side pockets are great. The size is on the smaller end of true, perhaps because of the slender design. I am a 38B and sometimes C, weigh 124 pounds and my back is average but my waist is much larger now, around 30 inches. The size 8 fits well and doesn’t look tight on me. I like very loose clothing and if it had been available I would have been tempted to buy the ten. I used to buy a lot of Ted Baker, before I gained weight, and this dress seems true to the way Ted Baker fits. If you have a large bust or back, do order up. There is no stretch to this dress.

The subtle puffed sleeves, the lined skirt, the large box pleats about the waist, the floral print. I love each component to this dress. If you have a broad back and shoulders, order up a size. This is not an overly sweet floral print dress. With no plans on where to wear it, I had to have it! I wear a 12-14 pants/skirts/shorts and L-XL(12-14) in blouses. The 14 fits beautifully.

I'm 5'3" about 120 lbs. and ordered a size 6 thinking I would have ample room for possible alterations, but I couldn't even button it. Also the sleeves had an odd fabric strip that I couldn't figure out. It's also quite weighty because of the full lining. All that said, the fabric is beautiful and the dress was at perfect ankle length for me. Sadly, I had to send it back.
