Little People^® Friends Together Play House Playset

I loved this doll house and so did my daughter but all the music has stopped working after having it for just 6 months. We’ve replaced the batteries and that has no effect. I’m so upset and my daughter keeps asking why it’s broken. I don’t think it can be fixed and I don’t want to buy a new one. I would love if this could be replaced or if there is a piece that will solve the problem, I would accept that as well.

This play house asks the child to shift between flat-form solid color accessories and dimensional furniture elements. The songs are loud, descriptions use slang and there is no volume control. We received the additional set with a person in a wheelchair but that figure cannot interact with most things in the house, so seems like an afterthought - I guess reaching a lesson about how the real world treats people who are differently abled. Giving 3 stars and not two because the figurines are detailed and the quality I would expect from fisher price, even if the house is not.

I bought this for an 18 month old and he absolutely loves it but within minutes we were searching for the (non existent) volume control. This toy is way too loud for anyone’s ears. Not necessary! When we couldn’t find a way to turn the volume down we covered the speaker in 2 layers of painters tape and then made a doormat out of thick paper and taped that over the the tape to bring to volume down to a suitable level. My only other complaint is the lyrics of the kitchen song that ends with something being pretty yucky. Seems like a negative message that could have been spun as something positive about making food in the kitchen and it being delicious and healthy. Seems like a missed opportunity. Other than those things this toy is fun and has kept our little 18 month old busy and entertained.

My 22 month old grandson absolutely loves anything little people and especially this house. This is a great toy for language and social development. He will play with it for quite awhile and pairs it with his little people vehicles. Even after having it for months he still finds it very engaging.
