Not fit for purpose
I had expected this to fit securely to the Fairview 50 but it doesn't. I have no confidence that it would still be attached to the main backpack once it arrives at it's destination. It would be far better if it had a zip to attach it to the main pack as my previous backpack/daypack combination did.

Lifetime guarantee
I loved my previous Fairpoint bag but after 8 years of use travelling, it was pretty worse for wear. Thankfully I remembered it had a lifetime guarantee and Osprey kindly sent me a new replacement. Yet to use it but looking forward to the opportunity!

Great quality but I'm missing a front pocket
This is my second Osprey bag, and I have to say I prefer my old one, which is a Daylite. I chose this one because it is slightly larger, but the front pocket is literally only big enough for a mobile, which means items like wallet and glasses have to go in the main body of the bag. The two side pockets are good for water bottle but not secure enough for valuables.
It looks streamlined, and is the usual excellent Osprey quality, but I now realise I should have thought more carefully about how much I rely on the front pocket in my Daylite.

Helen
My Fairview Travel day pack is a replacement for an earlier version which I wore out after 9 years of daily use. The design and colour has been changed slightly and the bag seems even more robust than my old one. It's very comfortable and versatile and I'm extremely happy with it. I would recommend it to anyone, particularly because of Osprey's lifetime guarantee.

Beyond expectations
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought with the Fairview 40, the combination has enabled me to fly without hold luggage and do some decent hill walking at my destination. I don't often write reviews, but this combination of bags has surpassed my expectations. The Travel Daypack is surprisingly roomy.

Don't use this much for
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Don't use this much for a travel day pack because it becomes back heavy with it attached to the main bag and would prefer the older zipper style attachment versus webbings/clips.
I do use it for weekly grocery trips and daily errands. I appreciate the top-loading and slim style to hold all my items snug and never have to worry about struggling to get the zipper closed. can also fit extra things into the deep side mesh pockets. Definitely surprised by how much I could fit and carry in this. The chest strap is helpful, sometimes I do wish there was a lap belt but overall love this pack and use it almost everyday!
