Equipment
Equipment was born out of the ready-to-wear fashion world of the '70s: minimalist, menswear-inspired designs for the modern woman. Relaunched in 2010, the label has kept true to its roots, crafting simple yet sophisticated tops, dresses and more out of the finest silk, cashmere and cotton. Clean silhouettes, feminine accents and an array of prints keep pieces timeless yet fresh.

Love "slim signature"
I finally found a silk blouse that I can tuck in a pencil skirt without so much material puffing out of my waist. Of course it looks great untucked over jeans or slacks. The regular/original Equipment silk blouses are just way too big. I am 5'3", 120 lbs, 32B chest, 28 inch waist and 35 inch hips. The XS fit better if you want a slimmer profile. The S would have worked too, but it is a different look.

Poor quality for that price.
The thread around the buttons started unraveling as soon as I unbuttoned it to try it on. This was a brand new shirt ordered online. The feel of the silk is also very thin and poor compared to other current silk shirts that are less than half the price.
I loved the design of the two front pockets, but they are very overwhelming on a petite frame.

Hard to gauge size!
Beautiful shirt but the sizing is tricky. I'm usually a size 6 which is very much in between the Equipment small and medium. I tried on both and they looked ALMOST identical on me but the small definitely had more fitted look, especially around the chest. Since this is a slim fit blouse, if you have a cup size of C or up and/or you want a more draped, relaxed look, then size up (contrary to their menswear inspired "signature" blouse, where you should size down). With this slim cut blouse, I ended up keeping the medium.

Beautiful Silk Blouse Alas
I bought the army jacket green version of this equipment blouse and loved it immensely. However, I am having to return it as the blouse/color of the blouse? water spots. I noticed the first spot after washing my hands the very first time I wore it. We proceeded to go out for dinner and I thought that spot would disappear, when it dried, but instead it remained a faint spot. Again, in a light mist, a few more spots appeared. The blouse was worn on this special occasion and once only. I am very careful with my clothes, but the spots from rain and from handwashing did not go away. I wish I knew if the other colors would spot as this did, as everything else about the blouse was fabulous, fit, drape, quality of silk. A sad day.

So glad they have a slim version
I am 5'2", 115lbs, 34A. I love the look of these shirts but I was literally swimming in the regular versions. I ordered a small in the slim style and it is nice and baggy on me (perfect for casual wear). Order an XS if you are looking for a trimmer look.

Yay!
If you are broad shouldered, like me, these are perfect. I am 5-4 1/4, 117 pounds and the S skims my body nicely but still lets me move my arms. Amazing! I'm not really a silk person but these have made me a convert. I wear them with shorts and jeans as well as nice pants and skirts. They hardly wrinkle and will be great for travel.
