How to use: Begin with dry, detangled hair. Slowly brush small sections at a time from roots to tips. Hold the ends of each section as you brush for better control. I have really thick, long, curly hair- the trifecta! Usually someone (amateur at hair here) has to blow dry my hair and then use a straight iron to cut down the time to 90 minutes. I (and my lack of skills) were able to completely starighten my hair in 40 minutes. My hair was pin straight and still felt soft. This product is amazing and I would recommend it to all my ladies, especially my curly haired ones!!!!

I really wanted to love this product but......
Sadly this did not work for me. It sounds AMAZING but did not give me the results that I wanted. My hair is thick but easily straightened flat with other flat iron products. For the price I was expecting far better results than what I got, I’m returning it.

Easy use... crazy static
I REALLLLLLY wnated to make this one work!! I. Theory I love it... some of the results I like too. The quickness and ease of use... I shaved minutes off my straightening time for sure. I gave this tool a good 3 weeks.... but my hair has been more staticky than it has ever been in my entire life. :( finally decided today I am going to return it. For $145... It should not do this. Overall I am not super impressed with the DryBar brand :(

Helpful tool, not a miracle worker
This is a useful tool, but it's not a panacea. It will give an extra boost to smooth your hair after you finish blowing it out with your regular dryer and brush, but it isn't going to give you a salon finish. It also doesn't replace the blow-out step, so it doesn't really save that much time. It is good for a quick touchup between washings, and based on its construction and materials, I do think it's probably less damaging than a flatiron. In my case, I haven't turned the heat up higher than 370, and I think if I did it might smooth my hair better, but I have fine, curly hair that is dry and extremely frizz-prone and I'm worried about putting too much heat on it. I found the tool helpful, and given its quality I think it's reasonably priced. I'm satisfied with the purchase but I'm not going to say that it changed my life.

Works Great
This brush works great. The 60+ mins that I used to spend on getting that salon blowout look section by section has now been reduced to 20 minutes (if that). I blow dry my hair while finger combing then run the Dry Bar brush through(in sections but much faster). I can’t get the brush curl look but just having smooth straight hair is worth it. I have thick Asian back-length hair that’s in between curly and wavy so after a blow dry it’s frizzy. This brush solved that.

This brush is life changing
I bought this in the gift set but I believe in it so much that I had to review it as an individual item too :) This brush straightener is freaking amazing. It straightens and smooths my very thick and dense, wavy/curly caucasian shoulder length hair in less than 10 minutes. I'm not a morning person, so this thing saves my life every day. I also love that I can use a lower heat setting (I normally use 320 degrees)
