What it is: A sugar scrub with activated charcoal that gently exfoliates, detoxifies and cleanses the scalp to promote healthier hair.
What it does: It's formulated with microfine sugar crystals which provide gentle exfoliation while minimizing damage to the scalp or the hair cuticle. Activated charcoal helps purify and deep clean the hair and scalp while lemon and orange extracts help promote cell renewal for a healthier scalp. It features the brand's Noir fragrance with notes of ginger, mint and sandalwood.
How to use: Apply a generous dollop onto wet hair and massage vigorously into the scalp. Continue lathering throughout hair. Rinse well. Follow with your favorite conditioner.

Remarkable scalp experience
I regularly use Drybar products because of the exceptional results, and this product is no exception. I have scalp psoriasis, most especially at the base of the neck and around earlobes. This truly cleans the scalp and exfoliates the excess cells and alleviates annyoying itching and flakes on my shoulders. It does suds up, so it can also clean the hair, all in one process. I recommend using the mudslide hair mask to complete the process.

Leaves a gummy reside feeling
This leaves a gummy, residue type feeling in my hair after using. The directions weren’t super clear… wasn’t sure if you are supposed to follow up with shampoo after. It seemed like this is a periodic substitute for shampooing. But just didn’t like how my hair felt after.

I’m African American with natural hair and seborrheic dermatitis. I’m happy that I tried this shampoo after reading the positive results from other users. It did not suds for me but it definitely removed the build up. I was itch and flake free for an entire week. This is momentous!

Nice for removing build up
Wasn't sure how this would work on my keratin treated African American hair but I wanted to try this for removing build up and my sebhorric dermatitis scabs. It did a great job! Because it's charcoal it's a little hard to use, I have to section off my hair and really scrub it into my scalp but it definitely works.
