Sexy and comfortable
This has to be the sexiest men's shoe around! Keeps it fit even though the leather feels like calfskin. Nice padded back and fits like a glove.

Terrible Shoes, don't buy them!
These shoes are not the quality I expect when I buy something at Nordstrom, they aren't even leather. I they are falling apart and the bottom of the soles look almost new. I got them out to polish them and noticed something different about one spot so I used my fingernail to try to get it off, but I was actually taking the finish off so I took them to the local cobbler. He checked them out and tested something on them and said they aren’t leather, they are made of some kind of fabric type material that just soaked up whatever he put on them.
I wore them on Cruises, to couple of weddings, and to few funerals, and a couple of Dinner/Dances. Maybe a total of 10 times that they were worn on surfaces other than carpet in about 10 years. I am retired and being in FL we don’t get dressed up a lot. I bought these at Nordstrom’s along with a $1,500.00 suit, 2 $100.00 Dress Shirts, 2 $150.00 ties, and some other items for special occasions like Cruising, etc. I am very disappointed that Nordstrom would even carry this quality of merchandise and will be taking them to the store to show my salesman.

Durability concerns
Wore these shoes 2-3 times per week over a couple of years--probably longer than I should have--but 1) These are fantastic-looking shoes which I've received received tons of compliments and 2) Trying to extract all the value I can because the price point feels too high to be replacing them this soon.

- not durable
- no leather sole
- heel is very loud on hard surfaces
Would I buy these again? Ugh. 50/50. Did the compliments offset the annoyingly loud heel? That is the question. For now, I won't buy again, but I would recommend to a friend depending upon his situation.

Comfortable but NOT durable
I commute into NYC via train, with a 15 minute walk to the office. Shoe is very comfortable, sleek, and lightweight. It is also versatile enough to wear with a suit, jeans, or even a tux (with a professional shine). However, with comfort comes soft leather, which is easily damaged. I've gotten about two years out of the shoes so far, with a resoling, so can't complain too much.

Rex' Loafer
I bought one of those rex loafer , when to a wedding half way of the party the shoes let me down with a big scratch while dancing.
It's my second bad experience D.J. Pliner I will never buy one again.

Can't get them on!
Well the amazing reviews were enough for me to order these for my husband, and sure enough when they arrived and we got them out of the box we could see how truly beautiful they were. All leather, soft and stylish - HOWEVER when he tried putting them on they simply wouldn't go! It was like the 'ugly sisters' trying to force Cinderella's shoe on!!! He has really slim feet so we were shocked - this has never happened before. The top of the shoe comes up so high that he couldn't get it over his instep. No reviewers have commented about this so we are wondering of its just this pair? In any event we'll be returning them which is a real shame because they do look so good.
It's impossible to say how they run in length or width or whether we recommend them! The opening reminds me of how tight scuba diving fins are - well that's fine with rubber but with an expensive leather shoe you really don't want to be forcing and twisting them just to get them on!
