Long Hooded Trench Coat

I finally found this rain coat after struggling buying 4 different raincoats that promised to be water resistant or water repellent that turned out to just absorb even the slightest amount of water. This coat is labeled as water repellent and actually is! The hood is huge and dramatic and covers my whole head and long hair, the length means I can walk my dog with my fuzzy cartoon owl pajamas on and look sophisticated and most importantly STAY DRY. The coat is unbelievably flattering and works like a suit of armor against rain, you will not need an umbrella if you own this coat. I really hope to have it for many years to come. I could not be happier with this coat, although I wish it came in more colors.

This coat fits me perfecty. It is heavier than I expected, but will keep me warm when I walk around town.

The quality of the fabric and construction seems good. However, the sizing is bizarre. I tried the 1X size and it was circus tent huge. I returned it and tried the XL - the next size down. The shoulders were small and tight, yet the sleeves just as long and baggy. The model pictured wearing it must be nearly 6 feet tall. The length came to the ankles on me and I'm 5'7". I tripped on the coat walking up the stairs when trying it on at home.

This coat came in a size that I usually order but it ran way smaller than I expected. Also, the coat was lined but it also had buttons along the inside as if there was an extra lining that could be removed. By reading the description I could not tell if an extra lining was included or not. The fabric itself looked real nice and could stand up to rain.
