Capture Totale Super Potent Rich Cream

Decided to write a quick opinion because the ‘most helpful’ review claims that none of the other reviews are from people who use and purchase this product. So here is an unbiased review from someone that uses and purchases Capture Totale Rich Cream. For me, the rich cream addresses my considerably dry 40s skin while helping to smooth it out. I’ve tried too many face creams to name, and this one is at the top of a very long list when factoring in blend-ability under makeup, lasting benefits, multi-benefits, and price.

Seeing hundreds of reviews on this product by people who received this cream for free and who probably don’t use Dior skincare products regularly to compare it to was annoying enough that I’m taking time to write an actually unbiased review on this product. This is one of the only reviews you’ll find on this product that wasn’t given it for free. Before this cream cake along I was using the Capture Totale Multi Perfection Cream in the rich texture. It was offered in light, universal (medium), and Rich textures. This new product replaced all three of them and I can tell you this product is not “super rich” and comes nowhere close to the moisturizing properties of the superior rich texture Multi Perfection cream. This new container is not plastic friendly like the old product was where you could buy refills for the container. This new container also contains less product so when the Dior salesperson tried to tell me this new product was cheaper she wasn’t being honest. It’s a wash. This new cream caused me to break out and my skin was noticeably drier since it’s not the level of moisturizing I need and this is coming from someone who’s only 30 yo and I live in the PNW, not a dry climate. Dior needs to go back to the drawing board with this product or at least release a cream that’s richer in texture to accompany this product. It should tell you something that several months after this cream was released it must be selling so poorly or being reviewed so poorly that they gave hundreds of them away for free to garner an influx of positive reviews on it. Because let’s be honest people who receive this for free are more likely to give a positive review when it isn’t earned and again, most probably don’t know how this cream was before or what it should be doing for their skin compared to those of us who have been using Dior products for years.
