Different sizing than traditional Allen Edmonds
I have fifteen or more Allen Edmonds pairs in my closet. Every time I order a 13D, open the box, put them on, and a perfect fit. Today, the successful streak came to an end. These shoes are much too small. I cannot even get this model on my foot. It is a full 3/4” shorter than any other AE in my closet. I do not know if it’s mis-marked, clearly stamped 13D, or a completely different sizing concept. Use caution when ordering.

We would like to mention this item is based off Italian design so the construction is slightly different then our typical shoemaking techniques. With the shoemaking technique used for this design the uppers are fully wrapped around the foot, creating a glove-like fit and it also requires less layers of material. This is most likely the reason for the difference in the fit.
