Chantelle Lingerie
A pioneer in lingerie, Chantelle was launched in 1949 as a shapewear manufacturer, and began producing bras in 1960. Known for creating the first seamless bra with molded cups in 1972, Chantelle Intimates has grown to become a world leader in French lingerie. Its first factory in Epernay, France, is still in operation today, where a new generation of seamstresses use time-honored techniques.

Best bra I've ever owned
Let me add my comments that this is the best bra I've ever owned. A Nordstrom sales associate steered me to this bra and helped me with the fitting, making me feel completely comfortable the entire time. I've never owned Chantelle before but I will never wear anything else. I have this bra in all 3 colors. The bra is comfortable and the support and shape is the best I've ever had. Thank goodness someone is making good fitting bras for larger busted women. If you watch any of the "makeover" fashion shows on TV, you know the makeover always begin with the bra, and now I see why. I look so much better in this bra and my clothes even fit better. Thank you Nordstrom and thank you Chantelle.

bullet bra
I simply had to try this bra with all of its numerous reviews.
It is well made.It does have pretty lace.
It does offer support.
It is huge though ,and if you have bigger breast the bigger the breast the more massive the bra,it does look very pretty and delicate on the model in the photo though.
I did not care for the seam in the center of the bra which gives a bullet ,pointy like shape to the breast.
To me being pointy like those cotton bullet bras that June Cleaver would wear is not a flattering shape ,when the natural shape of my breasts are soft and round.
I really was hoping this bra would work for me ,it had to be returned.

Very pretty, but intensely painful
This is a very pretty bra. Chantelle make lovely bras, and I've been happy with previous Chantelle bras, but to say that this one didn't work for me, is to seriously understate the issue.
It is very sturdy, and comes in larger cup sizes, which is fantastic. The colors and detailing are lovely. I tried the bra on (with fantastic fitting assistance) and loved it. Unfortunately, I should have thought to sit down and lean forward as if I were typing, before purchasing the bra. As soon as I sat at my desk the first time I wore the bra, I knew I was in trouble. I spent all day being stabbed in the armpit. It seems to me that the cups are much wider on this bra than on most in comparable cup sizes (for instance Freya, Elomi, or even other Chantelle bras). This resulted in the cups coming all the way round into my armpit. On reflection, it's possible I would have been better off a band size down, but I still think that in the larger band sizes, this bra is disproportionately wide in the cups. It's built a little like a minimizer, which would be fine (every very large busted gal could use a minimizer some days), if it weren't for the stabbing pain. Also a minor detail, although I only wore this once, the lace material had pills on it by the end of the day.
The happy ending to this story is Nordstrom's astonishing return policy. I've never returned anything I've taken the tags off and worn for a day. I was pretty sheepish about attempting to return it. Nordstrom were, as always, awesome about exchanging it (again, an item I'd actually worn), and helping me find some other bras that would work better. As anyone who wears over an F cup can attest, having to narrow down which bras I was going to purchase out of several that worked, is not an experience I often have. Thanks to Nordstrom for having several bras in my size to choose from, I can't say enough about the return policy and the selection of bra sizes you carry.

Beautiful fit
Thank you, Chantelle, for making such wonderful bras for DD and larger cup sizes. I bought this in a 38-DD and it fits true to size. It sits right close at the chest between the cups without any gap at all. The top of the cup is just a tiny bit low, but not at all like a demi cup bra, and it gives a smooth line under any fabric...even light weight tee-shirts. There are no lumps or bumps along the seams that show through (which I really do not lilke and am very fussy about) and the lace is very soft and smooth. It is a very pretty bra but still gives great support. There isn't anything about this bra that I don't like.
It was such a nice surprise to find large selection of DD and larger cup size bras available from Nordstrom. I don't remember ever having so many to choose from. Usually I have to send 95% of the bras I try back because they don't fit, but this time I only had to return one style!
Chantelle is my favorite new brand. Their bras are worth every penny they charge...amazing quality, style and fit. Comfortable, pretty and I am reaching for one of them every morning when I get dressed. It is as if they have figured out what a 38-DD and larger sizes (at least this 38-DD one) has been looking for and was so hard to find. Many bra makers don't seem to understand that a larger busted woman does not need extra foam padding, want cups that are too wide and round which give a pigeon-breasted look, like bras that push you out in front too far, have straps that are 4" wide and 6 hooks in the back so that you feel even older than you already are, or thinks that seams crossing over the fronts of the cups, which always show some sort of line, usually a bumpy one, is a good thing. Chantelle has figured out how to give support, up-lift, minimize size in a subtle way, be smooth under clothes, and be pretty all at once.

Rive Gauche Underwire Bra
I wore this bra today for the 1st time & was extremely uncomfortable and had pain and discomfort although the size was correct and the bra covered my breast area very well. Everytime, I moved or turned the wires poked me in several areas. The 2 vertical wires in the middle top area of the bra which sits between the breasts poked/dug into my breast tissue & when I took the bra off, I had 2 red marks there. The material & horizontal wires on both sides of the bra came up too high in my armpit area & poked/dug into my underarm areas of my breast tissue. When I took off the bra, I had red marks everywhere. Although I wore a thick t-shirt, the imprint of my nipples could be clearly seen w/this bra all the time. I bought 3 of these bras which will be returned. They are lacey, feminine, & pretty & may possibly work well on other people's bodies.
