LA BASE Mascara Base

I had been a Chanel makeup customer for over 20 years, and then I discovered (thanks to the Nordstrom Chanel representative) the La Base Mascara Base. I've always loved Chanel mascara, but this product makes the mascara go on more smoothly, and adhere to each individual lash. My lashes have not looked so great since I was in my 30's (I'm now 67)....I've just purchased the product for both of my daughters in law! I hope they will be smart enough to use this mascara base - I'm pretty sure they will. They were smart enough to marry my sons!

I recently went through a spate of YouTube video watching as I realized my eyes (and the rest of me are aging) and my old makeup techniques weren't really doing anything to enhance. As part of that I added a bunch of steps to my makeup routing, several of which have made a real difference but several of which I've since decided didn't add much and removed. One of the best steps I added was one that I was most skeptical of and that was eyelash primer. I figured, really? Really? Do my eyelashes really need priming?? Apparently, yes. Yes, they did. At least for me this stuff has proven awesome. It truly does prime the lashes so that when I put the mascara on it doesn't clump like it usually does and my lashes look thicker, longer and curlier. This has now become a must do part of my makeup routine.

This base helps to make the lashes thicker, longer and allows a quicker application. The new, added instructions inform to use mascara as this is beginning to dry, makes the usage better. I always had long eyelashes and as I have gotten older, not as much thickness. This is just a great product and I highly recommend. I do not use with their mascara, but have in past. I love their mascara, but find it a bit pricey for now. That said, I feel I should get theirs again, as it was so great. They both have an ample amount and last a good period of time. This base is a fabulous addition to my tools of looking better.

When I purchased my first tube of this base, I was highly skeptical. I thought, "Oh, I really don't need this. I'll just apply an extra coat of mascara when it's gone." I was dead wrong. Toward the end of my tube's life, I panicked. I had to get more. I not only noticed fuller, more healthy looking lashes, but it truly does prime your lashes for mascara. I use one layer of this and one quick layer of mascara. It lasts over 6 months and I use it every day and at night as a part of my nighttime routine.
