Chanel or Nothing
Being a Nordstrom customer for almost 9 years, I have had the chance to check out a lot of different brands of makeup. Once I started using the Chanel mascara I was hooked. I joke it turned me into a mascara snob and now I can't use anything BUT Chanel. I love the way it separates my lashes without making them look spidery and full without clumping. I can wear it all day without it smearing or getting flaky. Honestly when I put it on it feels a drink of water for my eyelashes, they get quenched.

Disappointing
Product flakes all around my eye area. Was excited to try the purple color...couldn't tell it was purple until I removed it and saw the color on the makeup pad. I've used Chanel products in the past. Maybe this was old stock.

Chanel or Nothing

Perfectly Natural
INIMITABLE INTENSE Mascara Multi-Dimensionnel Sophistiqué is my favorite mascara. It glides on smoothly, dries quickly and is never lumpy or clumpy on your lashes! It lengthens lashes without looking thick or unnatural.

Spider Clumps
I have used Chanel for years--since I began wearing makeup. I love every aspect of their makeup except their mascara. Today, I had enough of the clumpy, flaky, wands and went to Nordstrom to buy a new brand. The lady that waited on me at the cosmetics counter compared eyelashes with Chanel mascara on as "spider legs" and that is the most accurate description I have heard yet. Oftentimes it would flake into my eyes and I would have to try to get it out. Chanel's face powder, blush, face wash (which I would not trade for anything) and eyeshadows are great! But when it comes to their mascara, please spare yourself and try another brand.

thick and clumpy
I do not like this mascara. To me it seems to flake and clump. My mascara has only been used half dozen times and it seems to be dry and flaky. I love the original and I actually thought I bought the original but when I saw she gave me the newer version I decided to give it a try. I 'm sorry but this will be going back. The original has a softer texture and a more lengthening effect.

Staying with this one
I had been using Inimitable Intense for years, so decided to try a few other brands like Dior, Lancome, etc. just for the change. I've actually tested other brands a few times since starting with Inimitable Intense years ago. This Chanel product is hands down the best mascara for me. I will add, however, that it seems that Chanel's Volume is always described by Nordstrom's cosmetics staff and reviewers as the most popular mascara in the industry - and I've been encouraged a few times to try it. I did try it, twice, and while Volume is definitely a great product too, it is a bit heavier than I want at this age.

Fabulous Mascara!!
Absolutely the BEST mascara I've ever used! No clumps, curls and defines your lashes and looks amazing.
No one would ever need false eyelashes if they used this mascara!
