Celine Fringed Herringbone Cotton Throw

This is such well made blanket, with a nice soft feel. To me it’s a perfect weight/thickness for a throw blanket that could be used year round. I’d call it medium weight/thickness. The color in person is a bit lighter than how it appears on my screen, but I actually like it more. The only negative for me was that when first unpackaged, I noticed a bad plastic-like smell. I think it was vinyl-type bag it came in which had strong smell. Kind of like cheap shower curtains. Some people might not care, but if you’re sensitive to plastic smells like me, it seemed strong. Thankfully, the blanket is machine washable, which helped reduce the smell almost completely. The blanket came out of the dryer looking great. Although the tassels did unfurl a fair amount, since they aren’t knotted at the ends.

This is a beautiful throw. The cotton is the perfect weight for summer and the size is generous; however, after having the throw less than a month it is already starting to unravel. Blue strings are hanging down from the fringes edges. I can’t recommend this throw when it doesn’t even last a month.

If you are looking for an attractive throw, this is it. If you actually plan on using it and will need to wash it, then this is not for you. I purchased 8 of these last year for Christmas gifts. I was mortified when my good friends told me that they were awful after they were washed. One of my friends had washed it before she even used it, and it fell apart. Not expected from this brand.
