Carina Bustier Midi Dress

Love the fit of this dress. I will say that House of CB's sizing runs small. I'm typically a medium but had to get a large in this dress. I ended up returning because the color was not a great fit for me but I purchased a different color directly from House of CB and wore it while celebrating my bday. The body is kind of loose so I plan to get it altered by Nordy.

This was my first time trying House of CB in years, and I was stunned to find how much the quality has gone downhill. This dress feels like recycled plastic and recycled paper were mixed into a piece of clothing that does not feel like clothing. It felt like one of the recycled bags I use for the grocery store but just much thinner than a grocery bag. This dress is truly paper thin. It felt so unbelievably cheap that the price makes no sense. You can find cuter, good quality clothes for 1/3 of the price at Nordstrom. This quality was truly shameful. Two things about House of CB that have not changed: 1. This dress is not intended for short people or average height people - it is only for tall people. You'll have to be at least 5'7'' to wear this dress. 2. It comes with a long ribbon wrapped around - I believe this is intended for security purposes bc you'll have to cut it off to wear it out, and then it'll be clear that you wore it if you want to return it. You can still try the dress on with the ribbon attached but you won't see what is shown in the photo here unless you cut the ribbon, and then I don't know if returns are allowed. I did not cut the ribbon and I was allowed to return. In terms of sizing, I sized up from my normal size bc I remember this brand runs small. I am normally an xs but ordered a small, and unfortunately the bottom of this dress was like a hot air balloon exploded around me. The top portion was WAY too small for my bust (32d) - my chest was 90% out. If you are petite and/or busty, and you like good quality dresses, this dress is not for you. I HIGHLY do NOT recommend this dress.
