Beauty Lip Velvet Crush Sheet Matte Lip Stain

I really wanted to love these. I bought 6 colors at once online thinking they would be great based on the reviews. For me it was a lack luster product that applies like a kids lipstick. The tip is way too bulbous to get any kind of defined application, with this being a stain, I expected the tips to be a little bit smaller or less fluffy. Once the product is dispensed you have to try harder than I wanted to, to get the product nicely towards the corners of the mouth and the Cupid’s bow. For me it left a sloppy outline around the lips and gave an amateur application as if I was using drugstore brand or a child’s product. Or simply did not know how to apply lip product. I also found that because this is a stain if it does seep past the outline that you were trying to create you will have to work quickly to wipe it away otherwise it will leave the stain on the outer edges of your lips making it look like you drink tomato juice or too much red wine. Perhaps if you are willing to work very slowly and with the help of a lip brush to work the product to the outer edges of your lips for a more defined crisp look this will work for you but I am surprised with this being a Burberry product that they created such a bulbous tip for a stain, they could have at least tapered the top of it to help get to the edges in a more defined way without that over applied look. I think this product works best for people that do not have a defined cupids bow, have very thin lips or very pouty lips. If you are like me, in-between where you need the defined outline to create a pouty look or flirty cupids bow then you might have more trouble than you bargained for.

I have light crimson, crimson red, copper pink and sugar pink. All amazing colors. I usually will wear the copper pink and sugar pink to work since they aren’t as dramatic colors and the crimson red and crimson pink on the weekends since they are more dramatic. I love the versatility of them that they can be applied as blush and lip stain. The formula is good too. Make sure to keep twisting the bottom when you first get them because the formula doesn’t come out immediately.

The only thing I like about this lipstick is the applicator. It stays on me approximately 2 hours. I have tried so many lipsticks trying to find one that was truly long lasting, it’s not this one. When I saw this Burberry one I was excited to try it, although expensive. This color is too red for me, should have known better than to order a lipstick this expensive on line.

I'm excited about the Burberry Stain. The color glides on the lips perfectly with the remarkable applicator, using a small measured amount dialed up. The colors offered are unique and lovely. I further dabbed a bit to the cheek area (as a blush) and the blending went flawlessly. A great find and have purchased a second color.
